RAF Stenigot – a pioneering radar station
Chris Lester from the Society for Lincolnshire History and Archeology (SLHA) takes a look at the importance of being 'watchful' during WWII and beyond. RAF Stenigot was situated at Stenigot, near Donington on Bain, Lincolnshire and was one of 20 vital relay centres which enabled NATO commanders communicate across the globe.
