Exploring Lincolnshire’s ‘Gilbert Country’
New speaker Professor Andrew Jackson looks and the life and works of Lincolnshire author, playwright and poet Bernard Gilbert. In this talk you will hear about the Lincoln described by the Billinghay-born writer, Bernard Samuel Gilbert (1882-1927). Gilbert compiled his observations of city life in a series of long articles for the Lincolnshire Echo. They were published through early to mid-1914.
