Roman Roads in Lincolnshire
March 26, 2019 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
This month we welcome back Dr James Albone, archaeologist and historian. He is currently Planning Archaeologist at Norfolk County Council but was born in Kirton and was an early member of our society. He’s definitely ‘on his subject’ here as his doctoral thesis was ‘Roman Roads in the Changing Landscape of Eastern England’. He’ll be looking at some of the famous straight roads in our county: Ermine Street; Fosse Way; and many less well-known ones. We look forward to seeing him again.
