Lincolnshire’s Greatest Tudor Woman

November 24 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Well known author and historian Adrian Gray will give an illustrated talk about Katherine Willoughby, Duchess of Suffolk.

Katherine Brandon, also known as Katherine Willoughby, was an English noblewoman, 12th Baroness Willoughby de Eresby, and Duchess of Suffolk. A wealthy heiress, she became the fourth wife of Charles Brandon, marrying him at age 14. A prominent figure at the Tudor court, she served under four monarchs, supported the English Reformation, and was a patron of Protestant reformers. Twice married, she endured personal tragedy, including the deaths of her two sons, and lived in exile during Mary I’s reign before returning under Elizabeth I.
