A wealthy heiress\, she became the fourth wife of Charles Brandon\, marrying him at age 14. A prominent figure at the Tudor court\, she served under four monarchs\, supported the English Reformation\, and was a patron of Protestant reformers. Twice married\, she endured personal tragedy\, including the deaths of her two sons\, and lived in exile during Mary I’s reign before returning under Elizabeth I. \n
